Sydney McAdams - Resident in Counseling
Therapy is about connection.
I believe that the relationship between therapist and client is the foundation for healing, and I approach each session with empathy, openness, and authenticity. Built on empathy, trust, and collaboration, my counseling style is highly relational and person-centered, creating a space where you feel safe to explore your challenges without judgment.
I enjoy working with teens and adults navigating OCD, anxiety, depression, and personality disorders such as borderline personality disorder. I also have a passion for supporting LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent clients. My practice is trauma-informed and blends evidence-based approaches like ACT, CBT, DBT, and mindfulness with a compassionate and collaborative style, tailoring treatment to each client’s unique needs.
I strive to meet you where you are, honor your story, and walk alongside you as you work toward your goals. Together, we can create a space for growth, healing, and empowerment where you feel truly seen and understood.
